About Kingfisher School...

Kingfisher is an academy in a multi academy trust (MAT).  It is a Special School for pupils aged 2-19, meeting the needs of pupils with severe and complex physical and/or learning difficulties.

The school serves Abingdon, Didcot, Cumnor, Botley and the neighbouring villages. Most pupils travel to school using transport provided by the Local Authority depending on distance from home to school.

Kingfisher School has a committed and talented team of staff who work together to achieve the best for our pupils and students. Our School was judged to be “Good” following an Ofsted visit in November 2014. The Governors work hard to support the school and provide us with focused and appropriate challenge, driven by their ambition to achieve the best for our pupils and students. Parents are very supportive and our Parents and Friends School Association organise many events to bring our community together socially and to also raise money for our school.

This is a very exciting time for us as we consolidate our successes and strive to do better for our fantastic group of pupils who are all amazing individuals.
